CBS supports DepEd MATATAG goals
CBS China Bank Savings supports the new battle cry of the Department of Education – MATATAG: Bansang Makabata, Batang Makabansa. CBS Management represented by APD Lending Group head FVP Niel Jumawan personally conveyed this support by way of joint initiatives to the DepEd.
“CBS is interested in collaborating with the Department of Education by upscaling ongoing CBS programs and projects to improve the learning system and achieve the MATATAG goals,” declared Jumawan.
“CBS is also considering to support teachers fast track their career progression through professional development programs,” Jumawan added. CBS likewise committed to continue to support Brigada Eskwela operations and the National Teachers Day celebration.
The MATATAG program hopes to resolve basic education challenges, namely MA – Make the curriculum relevant to produce job-ready, active and responsible citizens; TA – Take steps to accelerate delivery of basic education facilities and services; TA – Take good care of learners by promoting learner well-being, inclusive education, and a positive learning environment; and G – Give support to teachers to teach better.
